Fella is the proud recipient of a mini John Deere metal tractor (+ trailer in the rear!).  Although he’s still a bit too young to reach the pedals correctly, we make do!  🙂

There’s a little back car that he sits in while Peach pedals, or we just give him a push of his own.  🙂

I’m sure you’ll be seeing this green machine in some kid or family pictures…I love the size and vivid color and kids love it, too!

Someday soon, I’ll have to post some pics of my growing prop collection.  Much to my husband’s dismay, I seem to be taking over the garage.   🙂

Have a great one!   ~m

So, yesterday Jen and I spent the whole day with Shannon Sewell for a two-on-one mentoring session in Portland.  I can’t wait to put all the things I learned to use in a way that fits me and my style!  🙂   My brain still feels like it’s about to burst!

We photographed a stylin’ family, which was awesome (especially in preparation for the holiday mini-sessions happening soon!).   AND there was a super special surprise guest…WRECKLESS GIRL!!!!  I was thrilled because I’ve been following her blog for a long while.  Her style is just so unique and always inspirational.

^ Shannon in action!  🙂

^ Kristy (AKA Wreckless Girl) guitarrin’ it with a yard flamingo  🙂

Both photographers we met with have so much to offer are are extremely humble about their art.  Thank you, ladies, for taking the time to share a little of how you do things with US!

Couple more pics of these kiddos…

^  CUTE little guy

^ Super sweet big bro

I fly back home tomorrow BUT before that we’re having breakfast with our pal Jess AND a then another fab photo shoot! Woo hoo!  Gorgeous Manda will make her bloggity debut!  🙂

I can’t belive my trip’s over so soon.  I miss my family like CRAZY, so that will be just lovely.  I’ll definitely miss my GIRL JEN though!  We’ve spent so much time “talking shop” & sharing our little “secrets” with each other.

Have a super day.  ~m

Well folks, I am off to Washington and Oregon, where I’ll be mentored by THE Shannon Sewell.  Woo hoo!  I look forward to coming home with lots of extra fun tricks up my sleeve.  I am SO thrilled!  I will be taking FOUR modes of transportation over a of six-twelve hour time span…definitely a first for me.  Anyone want to guess what they are???   🙂

I’ll try to at least put a pic up a day, but we’re (Jen and I) going to be busy!  Mentoring, several photo shoots, meeting friends along the way!

Adios!  ~m

Doot-de-dooo….cute little guy minding his own business playing on the front patio with his water table.

Heard something…

Hmmm…where’s that coming from?!

THERE!  There’s that airplane!!!  🙂

Gotta love the curiosity of a kid.  I love that he will stop in his tracks for any noise that’s out of the ordinary — especially loud and rumbly noises (trucks, planes, trains).  All boy — such a difference from Peach.  🙂

Have a good weekend!  ~m

Told ya we had fun!

I’ve been drooling over the area cornfields and finally broke down and took my kiddos there.  I’ll do most anything for an amazing photo shoot!!!  🙂 <–that’s where the crazy weather comes in (113 degrees when we were finishing up).  We were all beet red and super sweaty at the end of this one!!!  Luckily it didn’t take us too long and the kiddos cooled of with a refreshing McDonald’s ice cream code afterwards.

***Back to the session***

The cuties had a BLAST checking out various bugs, throwing dirt clods, and just being themselves.

I processed with a more vintagey feel because I wanted the images to feel timeless.

***Have a super day and thanks for stopping by!***

^ Taking a swimming break.  🙂  Definitely happy!  [Picture smaller in below storyboard, but I just HAD to show it large.]

^ THIS is going in his room. I’ve been waiting for the right picture to come along.  🙂

^ Contemplating a jump.  This image is so him!

My next photography purchase has a LOT to do with the water…can’t wait to share.

THINKING AHEAD — I booked three fall sessions on Wednesday alone, so if you’re thinking about getting family, maternity, newborn, or baby/child photos done, give me a call (or email) and we’ll chat.    Many are booking September, October and November sessions for holiday images/cards .  I’m definitely setting limits on sessions during the fall, so get them while they’re hot!  🙂

I’m contemplating a mini-session day, so stay tuned for that.  More holiday details coming in the next couple weeks!

Hubs and I are in TUCSON this weekend.  Took a last minute vay-cay-cay up here…the parentals offered a night away and CHAAAAA…we took them up on it.  Despite an awful migraine mid-day, the trip has been awesome.  Nap, movie, dinner…super relaxing & just what the doctor ordered!  🙂  THANKS mom & dad!

Hope your day is fab!  ~m
